The food is good quality, but you have to wait awhile especially if it's crowded. Alot of orders are cooked at the same time (on the same grill). When the orders that are cooked together are ready, each order is taken to the right tables.

When I eat at Moto's, it feels like home. Moto in Johnson City was a place for me to go, have a meal while listening to a podcast, and have comfort food with all that shrimp sauce. Things very minimally by location, but they do differ. Whichever one you choose is good!

I called and placed my order at 11:32 was told my order would be ready in 15-20 minutes. I did not walk out of the restaurant with my food until 12:18 when I called to speak to a manager the young lady said it was not a manger working. It would have been nice to have been told a correct time and an apology for the inconvenience.

I just went in with my husband today 10/14/2018, and we waited 15 minutes.... No greeting, no drinks, no nothing! Had 4 different people walk by multiple times and not even look out directions.... so we decided to leave and go somewhere else!! I really enjoy eating at this restaurant but I think I’ve changed my mind completely about you all!

Not a lot of effort given by the staff or Cook's. $14 for emperor combo..Rice - no flavorChicken - Dry No FlavorSteak -. Good Flavor but over cooked.Shrimp - Way under cooked and they were salad shrimp (when shrimp are cooked properly they turn white) I am not sure that there is a restaurant in Kingsport that knows this..Carrots - swimming in water and cold.Good thing I watch them cook it, or I may have just smothered it in shrimp sauce and ate it..SMH

Largest portions of fabulous tasting foods anywhere! Menu selections are easy enough to choose from to make your plate overflow! The Chefs prep n cook prior, so they can grill quickly, with the wonderful staff serving you a hot plate delightful flavors!

We had a wonderful visit this evening. Liz was our waitress. She had a great personality and made sure we had a pleasant dinner. I willlook forward to seeing her there when we visit again in the near future

I tried to call in an order, was put on hold for a while and then got hung up on. Went inside when I got there and ordered in 15 seconds. Was it so hard to take 15 seconds on the phone? That really irritated me.Food's decent, but service is a bit underwhelming.

Moto had excellent service and good good. The best part was the clear soup that they give you before your meal.

This place desperately needs an upgrade!! Not only in decor but also their food!! The food was almost tasteless. The rice was still crunchy. The tables were worn and sticky. The waitress was "ok" but could have done without her thumb in my "soup". And what's with the bagged salad? Ugh...wont be coming back.

Their food is great and as we all know the shrimp sauce makes it. Moto's shrimp sauce is very good not like some of the other Japanese restaurants that has a watered down version. I reccomend Moto to everyone.

Nice casual dining place, not a fancy Japanese restaurant. Waitress was friendly. Didn't have to wait for seating nor did we wait long for food. The portions of food were plentiful as each of us brought home leftovers.

My #1 favorite Restaurant to eat at or order from!! My food is always hot and fresh, so Delicious! I highly recommend you go if you've never been before!

Ahhhhhmazing. So good. The OG of shrimp sauce and quick quality hibachi at an amazing price. Owner's are the best people.

Killer Food Waiters And Workers Are Always Cool!!!!

The food was good, and the table service was good. The waitresses were also very helpful with answering allergy questions. My one beef is that our party stood at the entrance for over 10 minutes without being aknowledged at all. Numerous employees walked by repeatedly and actively *avoided* eye contact. I don't at all mind to wait when a place is busy, but a simple " Hi - we'll be with you as soon as we can" would have been a much better response from a service perspective.

They never follow the hours posted on Google. Always closing at 8 or 8:30... bad business!! They also would not answer the phone when I called at 8:20 for a to go order! I hope a manager sees this ASAP. This has happened multiple times.

I loved the food and service. I didn't see any Mexican people working the habichi table so. It was good ☺

I hate to do this, but I am only giving Moto the 1 star for the quality of the food. The food probably deserved better, but the service ruined this visit. We were seated pretty quickly and received our drinks and soup. But after that it went WAY downhill. Our waitress did not so much as even come by our table or make eye contact with us for more than an hour. The restaurant was busy, but people who were seated 30 minutes after we were, had gotten their food, ate, and left long before we got our food. The couple beside of us was seated almost an hour after us and got their food about 20 minutes after they sat down, and in fact, they got their food before we received ours. The waitress knew we were frustrated because we had to ask another waitress to send her over to us. She did not even bother to apologize for our wait. It is Sunday and this was not the way we wanted to spend our Sunday. We will not be back.

Food was really good. We would probably order take out instead of eating in next time.
